Sheboygan County Marsh Educational Facility

Jos. Schmitt Construction utilized distinctive log and fieldstone elements to harmonize the Kohler Center for Marsh Education with its natural surroundings. This LEED-certified facility features real tree trunks for roof support and a locally harvested ash tree as a focal point in the foyer. The center provides a permanent home for Camp Y-Koda’s environmental programs, including a multipurpose room, nature exhibits, and modern camper facilities.

The project represents a successful collaboration with the Friends of the Sheboygan Marsh, delivering a sustainable landmark for conservation and community learning. Our team’s attention to detail ensured the building serves as both a functional classroom and a biological showcase.
